About

Love the sand and surf but feel stifled by the usual getaways where all kinds of shacks, buildings and kiosks cram the shore?

Welcome to Marconi Beach.
Here, the steep sand cliff Marconi Beach is known for, fringed by sparse vegetation and great rolling dunes give way to a pristine stretch of powder-fine, desert-colored sand. Marconi Beach is one of the incredible ocean beaches found at Cape Cod National Seashore in the town of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. A favorite for those who prefer a more secluded beach to swim and surf in, Marconi Beach has a wide berth, enough to accommodate the weekend summer crowd. Getting to the actual beach requires a bit of rough going down some steep stairs from the plateau, but it's well worth it. Even with other people sunbathing on the shore or swimming in the open water, Marconi Beach can still instill a sense of solidarity and awe. Its beautifully rugged landscape, coupled with a splendid view of the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Cod Bay, and the fact that Marconi Beach is in a rather secluded area of Cape Cod, gives off a serene atmosphere and the vibe of being one with nature.

The waters of Marconi Beach are fair for swimming at the public beach area, but swell to more considerable sizes outside of the safety zone. Surfers take advantage of this to practice their sport in relative isolation, untouched by th noise and confusion of commercial establishments. A note though: Marconi Beach has waters whose depths seem to be untouched by even the worst of heat waves, so be prepared for an icy plunge.

Equipped with reasonable public facilities and charging minimal fees only during the summer season, Marconi Beach provides a great haven for long-overdue rest and relaxation trips.
